ReDI 2017 - International Retailer Programme

Lodestar has been working with The Polish Council of Shopping Centres (PRCH) to develop ReDI, their annual trade fair for retail investment which took place from Wednesday 7 June – Thursday 8 June. The fair, which is hosted in the Warsaw National Stadium, was in its fourth year. Highlights included the “ReDI for Leadership - CEO Forum” and “ReDI for Retail Innovations” – retail trends and perspectives panel session. The event is a key one for deal making within the region.

This year Lodestar assisted PRCH by creating a development strategy, which included creating the CEO Forum, developing and promoting an International Retailer Programme and facilitating meetings for new retailers. The retailer programme aimed to introduce international retailers looking to expand into the CEE region to the Polish market.

According to ACROSS Magazine “A considerable interest in Poland this year translated into a record-breaking presence of more than 40 new retailers interested in opening their stores in Poland.”

With many international retailers present, there was also a significant representation from some of the powerhouse fashion brands from Turkey. Strong in the European and Asian markets, they were keen to get to know the Polish market in particular, and viewed this event as the beginning of proceedings in opening up their first stores in Poland. Some of the brands which Lodestar worked with to support the programme include, Swarovski, Sfera (El Corte Ingles), Colin’s, Greyder and Altinyildiz Classics.
