Lodestar appointed to work on £21 million HLF bid
Lodestar has been appointed by Hill Adamson (formerly the Scottish National Photography Centre) to assist with their Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) application for £21 million.
The project seeks to establish not only new custom-built exhibition spaces and conservation suites, but also a dynamic centre for contemporary image-making and all the activities associated with it. The project will also provide educational, reference and research facilities, and will seek to become a tourist destination in its own right. Central to its philosophy will be collaboration with other national institutions such as the National Galleries of Scotland, which holds one of the most important photography collections in the world, but also with local libraries and museums throughout the country for whom it will prove an important resource.
