Lodestar is organising the second Metering Symposium 2010 for Water UK.
The event will take place on 20th May 2010.
As we work our way towards a new Government it is important for the Water industry to keep the issues associated with Metering at the forefront of regulators and legislators minds. The Metering Symposium 2010 is an industry-led event, organised by Lodestar for its client Water UK. It is taking place at a crucial time in driving the thinking on metering and ensuring the debate on key issues continues.
Installation of electricity smart meters has commenced with five of the leading six electricity retailers having started their rollout programmes. Meanwhile, the Environment Agency has argued strongly for acceleration in water metering, and for universal metering by 2015 in water stressed areas. It is crucial, therefore, to explore different implementation strategies and ensure that the challenges for the water sector and its stakeholders are debated.
