GRI accredited courses in sustainability reporting
The internationally recognised certified training programme, developed by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), is now available in the UK and Northern Ireland through Lodestar.
GRI has pioneered the development of the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework, and we are now able to offer you this course to support the growth and use of GRI in the UK. The course provides the opportunity to cultivate skills and knowledge on sustainability reporting, using presentations and interactive learning with UK case studies throughout. It has been developed specifically to help report makers use the international GRI framework to produce a best practice sustainability report.

GRI Course November 2011
After this 2-day course you will understand how to:
- analyse the context and drivers for sustainability reporting
- articulate the benefits and challenges of reporting
- benchmark sustainability reports against best practice
- connect the GRI framework to your organisation
- develop or enhance your own organisation’s report
- relate GRI to the Global Compact and the Carbon Disclosure Project
- use the GRI materiality principle and indicator selection to define the report content
- identify, prioritise and engage stakeholders
- implement the key stages involved in preparing a report
- apply the GRI application level assessment and report assurance processes
